A Reddit for The Oregonian

Oregonlive.com has launched a social bookmarking news site modeled, if not sharing the same foundations, as reddit.com. I’ll admit I’m addicted to checking reddit.com for new and interesting stories. It’s like digg.com but much, much better and without the confluence of frictards.
Oregonlive’s reddit operates a bit different than reddit.com. Oregonians are being courted to view, vote, comment on and submit stories to the site, and the highest ranked submissions will be bumped to the front page of Oregonlive.com.
It’s simple to create an account, you need one to vote, comment on and submit stories. Feel free to bookmark the site and check it daily for new and interesting news stories from around the Portland area and the rest of Oregon.
A video of Elliott Smith playing in someone’s living room years ago, posted on Northwest Noise, is currently on the front page of Oregon’s Reddit. Register as a user and submit your blog stories today!
