Portland Social Media Club Special Event!

By

We are having a special event for the next Portland Social Media Club on June 26 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Portland Center For The Performing Arts!

Here’s the deal. A few months back, I was asked to do a mini-Podcast Hotel event for Platform, The International Animation Festival, coming to Portland June 25-30. They asked if we could come and hang out, teach animators about the wonders of podcasting, blogging and social media.

Heck, ya, i said. Spread the gospel? Count us in!

So, we’d love to have you there. Please bring your gear, your laptops, your mobile gadgets for an evening of conversation, interviews and sharing! We’ll show these creative folks why we get so dang excited about blogs, podcasts and RSS. Should be a great time. We may even be able to get a few passes to some of the screenings.

Please let us know if you can make it by visiting the event page over at Upcoming:http://upcoming.yahoo.com/event/207361

Just a note, the Portland Social Media Club event will be on the second floor of the Portland Center For The Performing Arts. It’s at 1111 SW Broadway, right next door to the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. Just look for the Platform signs. It should be pretty clear.

Also, I am looking for volunteers almost every night of the event. If you want to join me there, just leave a comment. I’d love to have the company! I’ll work really, really hard on getting free screening passes for those who let me know!
