Apple Riffs On Colbert Green Screen Fun

Apple has teamed with Modest Mouse to start a contest where you can edit green screen video shots and create Modest Mouse’s music video for the single Missed the Boat. So, if you’ve got some time, are awesome at video editing and like the music of Modest Mouse, download the massive green screen video files and start editing.

The site is sparse on specifics about the content: Are there prizes? Will the videos be showcased on Apple.com or at a festival? They are specific with the deadline for your video, it’s May 22nd.

We’re talking about Video tonight; I’ve corralled a few people to be on our ad hoc panel and since we’re meeting at Wieden+Kennedy, we have an amazing space that will aid in our conversations (large projection screens, plenty of space, etc.). Bring your video cameras, digital cameras and laptops - if you got them.

Feel free to park on the street, because it’s free after 7pm here in Portland. I wasn’t able to get food or drinks so make sure to grab a coffee and a quick snack before the meeting.

Please thank the folks at Wieden+Kennedy some time tonight for opening up their awesome space for us.

6pm or 7pm?

There had been a discussion on our Group page regarding moving back our time we meet to 6pm from 7pm. Without seeing this discussion, I booked this month’s meeting to 6pm. But, it’s not to late to change it.
